Shasta Roller Derby

A relatively new team to the roller derby world, Shasta Roller Derby started as nothing more than a group of women with a shared vision and passion for the sport. In 5 years, the organization has doubled its roster, and exponentially grown its fan base and volunteers. The competitive edge of the squad has grown as quickly as everything else within the organization, with the league achieving national league recognition by 2014. The team travels all over the west coast, scrapping against some of the most formidable skaters in the sport. The league hosts 6–8 home bouts every year, and I'm lucky enough to support their efforts by creating their event posters. The cult-like, alt-vibe that roller derby possesses, makes these a joy to work on year after year
